The Future is Looking HEALTHY
Many of the perceived conditions / concerns about eyes, skin, movement and temperament, that the KC have considered
'points of concern' are no longer valid in todays Bloodhounds.
We have in recent years moved away from exaggerations ie excessive loose skin and as a result, eyes and skin are much improved.
The feedback from judges at shows has been
consistently good, and one of the other suggestions from the KC,
is to provide photographic evidence of improvements.
To demonstrate this, here are some photos/videos from successful
show winners , and their offspring, and they show that todays 'show bloodhounds' have good clear eyes and very little loose skin as per the standard.
With the increase in health testing, and careful selective breeding we are seeing great improvements in hounds movement, eyes, temperament and skin.
